Let’s clear some things up, shall we?
Your privacy is important, so I want to ensure that it’s respected in regards to any information the blog may collect while you’re here.
Privacy Policy
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Analytics
Who we share your data with:
We do not share personal information with third-parties nor do we store information we collect about your visit to this blog for use other than to analyze content performance through the use of cookies, which you can turn off at any time by modifying your Internet browser’s settings.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Editorial Policy
Val’s Vanity is written and photographed by Valis Vicenty, unless noted otherwise, and is copyrighted. So please offer proper attribution for any of my content you want to use and link back to the original post.
Val’s Vanity happily accepts product samples for editorial consideration. Full-sized, consumer-ready products are preferred for photography to ensure readers can easily find it when shopping. Samples and event attendance are given consideration, but they do not guarantee coverage. But whenever possible unused product samples are provided to readers as giveaways and donated to local shelters and charities.
Affiliate Links
Val’s Vanity and its supporting social media channels to maintain content production and publication on these platforms. Most links on the site are affiliate marketing links, which means Val’s Vanity receives a commission from the purchase of the recommended products or services featured on the site, which is about 1 to 10%. However, my editorial content is not influenced by advertisers or affiliate partnerships, and I’ll be sure to include links to a variety of retailers whenever possible. I use a third party, SkimLinks, to enable these affiliate partnerships, and you can read their Privacy Policy and find more information on the cookies they use.
Please note: these are my opinions and do not reflect that of my employer.
Disclosure Policy
I love working with brands, and I’ll happy to collaborate on sponsored social media and blog posts in the coming months as I develop my audience. I mostly work with beauty, fashion, and lifestyle brands and products that I truly know and trust and that are a good fit for my readers.
Don’t worry; I’ll be sure to keep you in the loop if I receive any compensation for any sponsored content by providing a disclaimer, but you’ll still get my honest opinion regardless.
If you have any questions or need additional information, feel free to drop me a line at Valis@ValsVanity.com.
