Regardless of your type, hydration is key for healthy skin. I re-learned this lesson recently after handling a wacky winter and an unsettled spring with my skin completely going out of whack. We’re talking a tight forehead, oily cheeks, and dry skin around my nose. Even a humidifier didn’t do much to help my moisturizer do its job!
Enter H2O+ Beauty. The brand has received a complete makeover (more of which we’ll see before the end of the month), but it hasn’t lost the spark that made it special, its Oasis range. The magical blue goo of the original Hydrating Treatment has been improved with a whole new range of products, including the new Moisture Lock Mask. The mask maximizes hydration without leaving skin feeling weighed down, and the Sea Grass and Water Lily extracts soften and deliver a youthful glow.
I’ve slathered this on since there was still snow on the ground, and it has made a world of difference.The mask appears blue out of the tube but quickly turns clear upon application. Plus you don’t have to wash it off like most masks, you simply rub in the excess for added hydration. While the box recommends leaving it on clean skin for 10 minutes, it applies easily over your other skincare essentials at night to offer a more intensive treatment. But one thing to keep in mind: don’t use this as a primer prior to makeup, as it tends to pill. But overall, this is going to continue to be a must for me even as we make our way into the next season to help moisturize and (possibly) heal sun damage.
